Bauhaus Weavings

The Museum of Modern Art exhibit Making Choices featured a wall of Anni Albers textile designs as well as a wall hanging by Gunta Stölzl in its Modern Living section. The exhibit ran through August 22, 2000 in New York City.

Here are some photos I took at the exhibit. The quality is not great as they were taken without tripod or flash. I have not seen the design for the Black-White-Yellow (BWY) hanging elsewhere. A photo of the Black-White-Yellow hanging appeared on the cover of the Winter 1996/1997 issue of Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot.

The Jewish Museum retrospective exhibit of Anni Albers work ran through August 20, 2000. The exhibit catalog is still available. Many of the other designs in the MOMA show are included in the catalog.
